Clearview Towing Mirrors are officially 6 years old this year, but their development started some 4 years prior to their release.

Our business is very familiar with the challenges of towing a van around our gorgeous country. Each mirror in our extensive range has been built and designed to handle any of the challenges that our outback can offer. Indeed, over the past 5 years Clearview Towing Mirrors have been tested by many of our customers on every corrugated road in Australia - from Cape Yorks Telegraph Track to the Gibb River Road. They are built tough for Australian conditions.


 WHAT ARE THEY?  
Clearview Towing Mirrors are a full replacement towing mirror. This means they are mounted as a direct replacement for your standard side mirrors.

A clever design incorporates two different surfaces that provide different but important visuals. The top mirror has a flat surface that can reflect vision directly down the sides of your caravan, while the bottom smaller convex mirror eliminates blind spots by allowing you enormous vision out to the lanes beside your vehicle. Easy adjustment will allow you to quickly switch the mirror to possible areas of concern, like tyres, wheels or undercarriage of your caravan.

They are much larger than the standard mirror. In standard driving position our mirrors have a wider outwards reach of approximately 100mm and a total surface area much bigger than the standard models. When you are ready to tow, the mirror head can slide out a further 100mm! This additional extension allows for approximately a total of 200mm of extension over your standard side mirrors.

The mirrors are also designed to manually fold inwards or outwards towards the car in case someone brushes past you in a car park.

 SUPERIOR QUALITY  

Built to last as long as your vehicle – and sometimes even longer – Clearview Towing Mirrors are all injection moulded and built from diecast aluminium to provide a firm and stable footing on every vehicle. Every mirror base is finished on a CNC milling machine, which gives consistent accuracy for a perfect fit to every vehicle. They are then powder coated in Melbourne, ensuring a high level of finish.

Clearview Towing Mirrors have steel arms through the centre of the mirrors, giving them extreme strength. These arms have cams which are precision cut from stainless steel on a high tech water cutting machine.

The cams are welded to the arms in Melbourne for better quality control and consistency. The finished arms are then coated in a special corrosion resistant electro coating paint process.

Once all the parts are completed, the final assembly takes place in our factory in Melbourne (pictured below). Every set of mirrors are inspected and tested, before being boxed and shipped out to dealers or direct to customers.

Clearview Towing Mirrors have been tested and approved as being compliant with all applicable Australian Design Rules, ensuring their legality in all states and territories of Australia.

As each model is designed to be vehicle specific, all models of Clearview Towing Mirrors have been individually tested by Evo Compliance, a NSW based firm with extensive experience within the automotive field and over 15 years in automotive/mechanical engineering consulting, vehicle compliance and certification.
